Today's Positive Story:The father used to make pickles and give them as gifts to relatives. The daughter came from London and started her own business. The turnover reached one crore in three years.


Neharika, who lives in Delhi and runs a pickle business, studied in London.

Niharik Bhargava grew up in Delhi, after which he did a Masters in Marketing Strategy and Innovation from London. He got a job in a multinational company, he also had a good salary, but he did not feel like a job and quit his job within a year. In 2017 he launched a pickle making startup.

Today we have our own farm of 50 acres, where all the products used to make pickles are grown organically. More than 30 tons are being produced every year. Last year, his company's turnover was Rs one crore.

After graduating from Delhi University, Neharika, 27, obtained a master's degree in marketing strategy and innovation from London in 2015, after which she returned to India and started working for a multinational company in Gurgaon.



After leaving the job, Neharika launched a pickling startup in 2017.

Niharik says, "I always wanted to start my own business, but I never thought of making pickles. Dad was fond of making pickles. He used to make pickles and give them as gifts to relatives. .

He says, one day I said to Dad, why don't you do pickle business, then Dad started laughing and said I have done what I had to do, now it is up to you. I thought the work was good, but there was some doubt as to whether the pickle business would work, as pickles are made in almost every home. "

Niharika then started doing research on the pickle market. Talking to many people, I realized that there is a huge demand for pure and home-made pickles. There are a large number of people who do not like pickles found in the market, but buy out of compulsion. Then, he turned his father's passion into his profession and started learning to make pickles.

The nebula team consists of 15-20 people, most of whom are women, working to prepare pickles.

"Initially, we used to set up our pickle stalls in Delhi and its environs where there were exhibitions. The response was good. After that, we started offering pickles in the local market as well," says Niharika.

Meanwhile, he went to Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh, where his father had taken land for farming, but no special work was done there. I really liked the place. I thought why not all the products used in pickles should be grown on the farm here, which will further my business and people will also get pure pickles.

Neharika further said, "On our farm we planted many plants including mango, mango, lemon, turmeric, ginger, chilli which were used in making pickles. We also hired some people there. 


There were also some women who made pickles. From there pickles were prepared and brought to Delhi and sold in the market. Demand gradually increased. People started getting calls from other cities as well. Then in 2017 we started a company called The Little Farm in Gurgaon and also started selling products online. Started. "
