The temperature in Kashmir has dropped to minus. People are passing through snow-covered roads in Sonmarg.
The cold is now steadily increasing. The meteorological department has issued Orange Alert of Coldwave in Rajasthan and Punjab. This alert is issued when the temperature drops 2-4 degrees below normal. Chandal in Jaisalmer in Rajasthan recorded a low of minus (-) 1.5 degrees last night. It is snowing continuously in Kashmir. In many parts of Himachal, the temperature has dropped to minimal.

Rajasthan: The next 4 days will be freezing cold. The
night temperature in Chandan area of Jaisalmer was even lower than Mount Abu. Chandan recorded minus 1.5 degrees and Mount Abu minus 1 degree. The minimum temperature in 20 cities of the region has also dropped by 10 degrees and in 4 places by 4 degrees. According to the weather department, it will be very cold in the next 4 days.

Delhi: The temperature in the

Punjab: There will be
cold wave for next 48 hours . It is freezing cold all over the region. The meteorological department has issued a coldwave alert in the next 48 hours. The snow on the mountains may further increase the cold in the coming days. 10 trains departing from Amritsar have been canceled till February due to fog. Ludhiana will be shrouded in dense fog for the next 2 days.
Chandigarh: It will be colder at night. The
severe cold has increased the hardships of the people. Cold winds are blowing. Nighttime temperatures could drop by 2 to 3 degrees, according to the weather department. The next few days will be light fog in the morning, but it will not affect visibility much.
Traffic is being affected due to fog in Chandigarh.
