Earthquake: 4.3 magnitude earthquake shakes Kutch, epicenter 26 km from Khawda

The quake, measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale, struck around 9.46am



The quake was felt in Kutch. A magnitude 4.3 earthquake shook the region around 9.46 am today. Preliminary details were found that the epicenter of the quake was 26 km from Khawda. The shock caused people to flee the house in fear.

The highest intensity was recorded in Kutch, Bhuj area. The quake forced people out of their homes but fortunately, no major casualties have been reported so far.




The shock was also felt in Bhachau
last night. The shock was also felt in Bhachau at 2 o'clock last night. Its magnitude was 2.2 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was reported at 12 km from Bhachau. A 4.3 magnitude earthquake shook South Gujarat in November.




 The epicenter was reported 36 km from Bharuch. A mild earthquake was felt at 3.40 pm. The quake affected Kheda, Dakor, Thasra, Halol, Mangrol, Mandvi, Bardoli, Umarpada and Olpad along with Surat and Bharuch. Halol is shaken for 3 seconds. Earthquake tremors have also been felt in some areas of Panchmahal. Mild tremors were felt in Savli taluka of Vadodara for 2 to 4 seconds.
