The quake was felt in Kutch. A magnitude 4.3 earthquake shook the region around 9.46 am today. Preliminary details were found that the epicenter of the quake was 26 km from Khawda. The shock caused people to flee the house in fear.

The highest intensity was recorded in Kutch, Bhuj area. The quake forced people out of their homes but fortunately, no major casualties have been reported so far.

The quake affected Kheda, Dakor, Thasra, Halol, Mangrol, Mandvi, Bardoli, Umarpada and Olpad along with Surat and Bharuch. Halol is shaken for 3 seconds. Earthquake tremors have also been felt in some areas of Panchmahal. Mild tremors were felt in Savli taluka of Vadodara for 2 to 4 seconds.
