A major accident has taken place on Rajkot-Gondal National Highway in the early hours of this morning. Both the vehicles caught fire shortly after the accident took place between a cotton-laden truck and an i10 car near Billiala Patiya in Gondal. The fire broke out in the i10 car in the morning 3 women were crushed. Upon learning of the incident, Gondal Municipal Ambulance, Highway Authority and Gondal Taluka Police and 2 firefighters rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire by pouring water on the vehicles.

A Gondal taluka police convoy reached the spot after the accident and cleared the traffic. The car was traveling from Gondal to Rajkot and the truck was crossing the highway from Biliyala village. Gondal's family was in the car.
