CBSE states the formula for the 12th result:The board told the Supreme Court- will announce the result by July 31; Separate exam option for students who are not satisfied
A 13-member committee of the CBSE board to prepare the 12th standard result submitted its report to the Supreme Court on Thursday. In it, the board has stated its formula for declaring the result. According to the board, the final result of 10th, 11th and the result of pre-board of Std. 12 will be made the basis of the final result. Separate arrangements will be made for students who wish to appear for the examination. If all goes well, the result will be given by July 31.
Giving details of preparation of 12th result, CBSE said that the best marks in 3 out of 5 subjects of 10th standard will be calculated. Similarly, the average of five subjects of 11th standard will be calculated and the number of pre-board exam or practical exam of 12th standard will be calculated. The result will be decided on the basis of 30% marks in 10th and 11th standard and 40% mar ks in 12th standard.
Earlier, the apex court had given two weeks to decide the formula for the CBSE result. The board then formed a 13-member committee on June 4. He was due to report on June 14 in 10 days.
Government's Argument - Formula designed with expert committee
Attorney General KK Venugopal said that CBSE has been serving him since 1929. This has never happened before in history. We have designed this formula with an expert committee. 10th standard board exam and subject are different from 11th and 12th standard. So we've built the base in 3 years 10, 11 and 12.
The
apex court, which adjourned the hearing till Monday, said, "Both the CBSE and ICSE boards have said that alternate exam time should be given along with the formula for declaring results. If Advocate Vikas Singh gives any suggestion, it will be considered. Both boards are independent to implement the scheme. Let us know about this at the next date of hearing. ' That said, the Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing to Monday the 21st.

1. The panel members said that we have held discussions with the Navodaya Vidyalayas, CBSE, schools affiliated to it and other schools run by the Center. It has come to light that this time the bench of 12 is fully online. There are many uncertainties due to this. The classes did not go as planned and the assignment could not be completed.

The performance of the 10th is very important. This is the most reliable data that CBSE has taken at its examination centers and has been evaluated. Similarly, the 11th exam was also held before the lockdown. All these exams are done in different conditions.

3. The committee is considering giving more importance to 12, but overall, 30-30 per cent weightage of 10-11 and 40 per cent weightage of 12 may be agreed upon. However some members are talking about giving more weightage to 10th and 11th. Some schools also agree with this. There is no final word yet.

According to sources, the principals of the schools affiliated to CBSE had informed the committee that they are in a position to give the marks of the examinations held in Std. 10, 11 and 12 in 2020-21.
No offline tests and practicals have been taken in Mumbai schools last year and no classes have been taken. Schools that have not been able to take the practical are allowed to take the online practical and oral exams. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to upload the internal marks of standard 12 on the CBSE system by June 28.
