Assembly by-election LIVE:34 percent turnout till 1 pm, highest turnout at Dang seat, BJP-Congress both parties working hard for more votes

Voting for the eight vacant seats of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly has started today, November 3, from 7 am. By 1 p.m., 34 percent of the vote had been cast, with the highest turnout at 51.54 in the Dang constituency. 


Both the Congress and the BJP are working hard to get more voters. Special arrangements have been made in Kutch for voters with suspicious features of Corona. Only yesterday, the state election commission had completed all the preparations. The 18.75 lakh voters in the 8 assembly constituencies are using their franchise to decide the fate of 80 candidates. 


Voters will be able to exercise their franchise until 6 p.m. Tight police arrangements have been made at all polling stations to ensure peaceful polling as per the guidelines of Covid-19. Legislative by-elections are being held in 8 seats in the state including Abadsa, Dhari, Limbdi. This includes BJP, Congress,

BJP candidate in Morbi Brijesh Merja worshiped with his wife and expressed confidence of victory. On the other hand, both the BJP and Congress candidates in Dhari have fielded voters from Surat to win the elections, with voters reaching 374 polling stations in Kaprada and 357 polling stations in Dangs. A total of 2,45,743 voters in Kaprada and a total of 1,78,157 voters in Dangs will decide the fate of the candidates.

Voting begins at Dhari, Gadda and Morbi constituencies The polling at
Dhari, Gadda and Morbi constituencies in Saurashtra has started from 7 am today. Strict police arrangements have been made at all polling stations to ensure a peaceful polling as per the guidelines of KOVID-19. 


In Morbi, BJP candidate Brijesh Merja worshiped with his wife and expressed confidence of victory. Brijesh Merja has appealed to people to vote, saying voting is the best donation. On the other hand, both the BJP and Congress candidates in Dhari have fielded voters from Surat to win the elections.

Voting begins at
Kaprada and Dang constituencies Voting for the vacant seat of Kaprada and Dang assembly constituency has started at 7 am today. Voters reached 374 polling stations in Kaprada and 357 in Dang. A total of 2,45,743 voters in Kaprada and a total of 1,78,157 voters in Dangs will decide the fate of the candidates. It may be mentioned here that there is a direct battle between BJP and Congress in both the seats.

Voting starts from Karjan seat The Karjan seat is
contested by 9 candidates including BJP and Congress and a total of 2,04,608 voters including 1,04,834 male and 99,761 female voters and 13 others are registered in the Karjan seat. 

18.75 lakh voters will decide the fate of 80 candidates, the
state's Chief Election Commissioner said yesterday. S. Muralikrishnan was briefed on the preparations for the elections by holding a press conference. Voting for 8 state assembly seats is underway today. Voting has started from 7 a.m. and will be open until 6 p.m. 18.75 lakh voters have registered for the 8-seat by-election. Instead of 1500, one thousand people will be able to exercise their franchise at one polling station.

By-elections are being held in 8 seats following the resignation of Cong MLAs
During the Rajya Sabha elections in March, Pradyuman Singh, J.V. from the Congress' Abadsa, Dhari, Gadha, Dang and Limbdi seats respectively. Kakadia, Praveen Maru, Mangal Gavit, Somabhai Patel resigned. Then in June, Akshay Patel of Karjan, Jitu Chaudhary of Kaprada constituency and Brijesh Merja of Morbi constituency resigned, leading to by-elections tomorrow for eight seats.
