Instructions not to admit patients till the hospital gets NOC in the list released by the Municipal Corporation.
Most of the hospitals in SG Highway, Sola, Ghatlodia, Vastrapur area do not have NOC
Following the fire at Shreya Hospital in the city and the fire at Uday Shivanand Kovid Hospital in Rajkot, the Gujarat High Court and the Supreme Court have issued strict orders regarding fire NOC in hospitals. The apex court has ordered to take fire NOCs in Kovid hospitals within four weeks, among which Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation itself has revealed that there are no fire NOCs in Ahmedabad city's government Sola Civil Hospital and 286 private hospitals. The list of private hospitals in the city which do not have Fire NOC has been officially announced by the corporation.
According to the Ahmedabad Fire Department, fire NOC has been obtained and training of hospital staff regarding fire system as well as management / owner of the hospital will be held responsible if there is any loss of life in case of fire if the fire system is not working.

A total of 287 hospitals in the seven zones do not
have fire NOCs. The list includes 287 hospitals in the city, including the government-run Sola Civil Hospital, which do not have fire NOCs. The list states that the following hospitals have not received Fire NOC, they will have to get Fire NOC immediately. New patients cannot be admitted to the hospital until a fire NOC is obtained. A total of 287 hospitals out of the seven zones do not have fire NOC though patients are still being admitted to the hospital today.
100 hospitals including Vastrapur do not have Fire NOC
The list of hospitals without Fire NOC released by the corporation has the highest number of 100 hospitals in areas including SG Highway, Thaltej, Sola, Ghatlodia, Chanakyapuri and Vastrapur which do not have Fire NOC. Most of the hospitals in the western region do not have fire NOC, so the negligence of the fire brigade is obvious. Some of the declared hospitals are maternity homes and nursing homes, in which newborns are kept, while such hospitals appear to be negligent in case of fire.
