The fog continued throughout the day on Friday due to the cyclonic circulation system activated in the central Arabian Sea and moving from the coast of Maharashtra to south-western Rajasthan as well as in south-western Rajasthan and adjoining areas. Apart from Ahmedabad, areas like Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar and Aravalli are also expected to receive rains on Saturday and Sunday. Visibility was reduced to 2 to 3 km due to fog. It was so foggy in Ahmedabad at 4.30 pm on Friday that the lights of the vehicle had to be switched on even during the day.

Ahmedabad's minimum temperature rose by 2.7 degrees Celsius to 15 degrees Celsius. The highest, however, was recorded at 7.2 degrees Celsius. There will be less cold in the city for another 24 hours.
