Devotees of Somnath Dada killed by police on the first day of Veraval / Shravan month, lack of order in the temple

Why keep Somnath temple open if temples including Dakor and Kuberbhandari are kept closed?

Fear of coronary infection due to systemic incompetence
Police and administration failed to manage the temple

Veraval. Today, on the first day of Shravan month, the police had lathi-charged the devotees of Somnath Dada. The temple of Somnath Mahadev was crowded with devotees and the lira flew in line with the guideline of Kovid.

There were scenes of scuffles and mobs in the temple premises. Police lathi-charged the devotees.

Anger was seen among the devotees as the police charged with batons. Which led to a fight between the police and the devotees. The question is that if the temples including Dakor, Kuberbhandari have been kept closed then why the Somnath temple has been kept open?

There were scenes of fights between devotees and police
There was a scuffle between the police and the visitors who were going to observe social distance at the Somnath temple. The police beat the devotees with their bare hands. So the enraged devotees also slapped the police. With which the situation became tense. The lack of order in the temple has led to scenes of fights and crowds.

Who is responsible if the corona infection spreads?
The claims of the trust and the system for strict adherence to the COVID guideline have proved to be hollow.

Long lines of devotees can be seen in the Somnath temple. Devotees did not even wear masks nor were social distance being observed.

Somnath Trust and local bodies are watching the spectacle as spectators. On the one hand, the number of corona cases in Gir Somnath district is on the rise. The question then is who is responsible if the transmission of corona spreads further?

Somnath temple timings changed for visitors
It is to be mentioned that the time of the famous Somnath temple of Gujarat has been changed in Shravan Mass. This decision has been taken so that the visitors can easily watch. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday times have been increased. In the month of Shravan, the temple will open at 6 am instead of 6.30 am. So the temple will be open till 9.15 pm instead of 7.30 pm.

So that devotees can take advantage of more time. In view of the holy month of Shravan, there will be special darshan on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 6:00 to 6:30 in the morning and from 7:30 to 09:15 in the evening. Darshan will be available on normal days from 7:30 to 11:30 in the morning and from 12:30 to 6:30 in the afternoon.
