In Jammu and Kashmir, anyone in the country can now buy land and settle there. A new notification has been issued by the Home Ministry on Tuesday. However, the ban on farmland will continue.

Outsiders can also buy land there and start their own business there
Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Governor Manoj Sinha said, "We want outside the industry to come to Jammu and Kashmir. As there is a need for land for industrial, now anyone can buy land in Jammu and Kashmir." However, the farmland will be for the people of the state only.
Let me tell you that earlier in Jammu and Kashmir only the residents could buy and sell land, but now outsiders can also buy land there and start their own business there.

The land law has been amended. It is
important to note that Jammu and Kashmir were exempted from Article 370 only last year, after which on October 31, 2019, Jammu and Kashmir became a Union Territory. Now that the Union Territory is one year old, the land law has been amended.
